Daegu doesn't get enough love from tourists but the food is incredible:
Must-try Daegu dishes:
1. 막창 (Makchang) — grilled pork intestines. Sounds weird, tastes amazing. Apsan area has the best spots.
2. 납작만두 (Flat dumplings) — unique to Daegu, pan-fried thin dumplings
3. 뭉티기 (Raw beef) — Daegu-style raw beef, less sweet than Seoul version
4. 매운갈비찜 (Spicy braised ribs) — Dongseongno restaurant alley

- Seomun Market (서문시장) — the original Daegu food market
- Apsan Makchang Alley — row of 막창 restaurants
- Dongseongno — the main downtown food district
