Is Kakao T taxi app safe for foreigners at 3am?

I'll be clubbing in Hongdae and probably need a taxi around 3am. Is Kakao T reliable at that hour? Can I pay by international credit card? Also, any tips for communicating with drivers who don't speak English? Should I just show them my destination on the phone?
