Great news for 2026: South Korea has extended the K-ETA exemption until December 31, 2026 for 67 countries. This means you do NOT need to apply for K-ETA before traveling. Current visa-free entry (as of 2026): - USA, Canada, Australia, UK: 90 days - Most EU countries: 90 days - Japan: 90 days - Southeast Asian countries: 30-90 days (varies by country) What you need: - Valid passport (6+ months validity recommended) - Return/onward ticket - Accommodation booking (might be asked) Important change: You now need to fill out a mandatory e-Arrival Card digitally before or upon arrival — even if K-ETA exempt. You can complete it online before departure or at the airport kiosk. At immigration: - Biometrics (fingerprints + photo) at the counter - Usually takes 15-30 minutes Heads up: Starting January 1, 2027, K-ETA will likely be required again. Enjoy the exemption while it lasts! Pro tip: Have your hotel address written in Korean. Immigration officers appreciate it.
