Korean bathhouse (jjimjilbang) first-timer guide: yes, you have to be naked

The jjimjilbang is quintessentially Korean. You pay at entrance (₩10,000-15,000), receive locker key and pajamas. Bath area is gender-separated and everyone is fully naked — no swimsuits. Hot pools, cold pools, various saunas. Wash thoroughly at shower stations BEFORE entering any pool. Then put on provided clothes for the co-ed common area — heated rooms, sleeping area, snack bar, ice room, salt room. Popular snacks: sikhye and baked eggs. Dragon Hill Spa (Yongsan) is foreigner-friendly. Spa Land in Busan's Shinsegae is the best. You can sleep overnight.
